It might seem unlikely but this group, who scored huge Latin funk hits in the US with ‘Jungle Fever’ and ‘Stories’ came not from the barrios but from Belgium ! Jungle Fever went on to sell over a million copies in the US but didn’t fare so well in the UK where the BBC took offence to the record’s male and female groaning and promptly banned it.
